Teaching and Scholarly Interests

Dr. Dunkley completed a qualitative study on the lived experiences of Black families who survived child sexual abuse by known perpetrators. She continues to engage in clinical work to support marginalized groups. Dr. Dunkley understands the interconnectedness of one’s mind, body, spirit, and community. She operates from a humanistic constructivist understanding, whereby each person has the capacity to grow in a uniquely beautiful way. She applies the very same care to her work in education and supervision as done in her clinical work.

Professional Activities

Dr. Dunkley has co-authored articles and chapters in counseling journals and academic books. Dr. Dunkley is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
